Filament sensor gets caught on spoolholder when printing to max build hight.

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right space to post this. I had a couple of prints going to max build hight on my MK3 and noticed that the cables of the filament sensor are getting caught at the bottom clip of the spoolholder that is provided with the printer. Happend a couple times and the sensor now sporadically does not get detected. Has anyone had the same issues or am i doing something wrong? The spoolholder is roughly in the middle of the top of the frame.

Regards

Michael

I believe this can be avoided by more constrained routing of the wires. I had the same issue when I first assembled the printer and got rid of it after rerouting.

Ditto. When rebuilding the extruder I do the final tie wrapping at max Z so I can be certain it can move left to right without getting caught (in my case, on an MMU2)

Thanks for the advise. I will test that and see if it works.

I just bent the wires at a 90 and they stayed that way. Black electrical tape was my next option.
