Filament jam during long prints
Printer: MK3S + MMU2
Firmware 3.7.1
Printing PLA is smooth until more than 3 hours. The horrible "click" then set in. The extruder gear motor became very hot. If I pause the print and let the motor cool down , the print can resume normally.... for an hour or so.
I suspect that the jam is caused by soften PLA by the heated bondtech gears.
I remember that the motor was not that hot before in previous versions of firmware. Did they tune up the motor voltage in the latest firmware?
I have changed the stock Prusa heat break to E3D heat break too as suggested by some nerd.
Anyone suffer the same? Any help or idea?

On thingiverse there is a fan to put on the extruder, this will cool down your extruder.

I adjust it a little , without glue it will fit.
or / and blow with a extra fan inside your encloser(do you have one?), so it cools down, especially with pla.
Blow in the lower part, so the hot air can go up. Extra doors for your enclosure could also help.
I have also a e3d heatbreak.
Also build your heatbreak and other good together, so you do not have gabs inside. check on forum or youtube for how to if needed.
