Cura 4.0.0 - Tree Support Problem with Orig. i3 MK3S config

Hello together,

I have a problem with the tree support in Cura 4.0.0. It seems that it has something to do with the printer-/print-profiles that I have downloaded from prusa-website.

If I add a random other printer to cura, the tree support works fine and I cannot find the setting that affects the effect. But now let me describe what happens:

With the settings/profiles downloaded for the original Prusa MK3S (I have installed/imported them by following the instructions) the tree support is adding some additional support lines (looks like zigzag-pattern) onto the tree support. These lines are also connected to the builded part itself what makes it very difficult to remove it without damaging the part. Please see the attached pictures to see what I mean.

The Anycubic pictures are showing how it should look like.

I have tried to compare the support settings from the anycubic (I picked this one just as an example) to the settings from the prusa, but I cannot find an option that effects this lines.

Does anyone has faced this issue before or has an idea what setting I have to change?

Thanks and regards

Lasse

One additional test:

I have used the Orig. Prusa i3 MK3S printer in Cura, but one of the default Cura-Print-Settings. With them it generates the trees correctly. So it must be hidden somewhere in the print settings.

best regards

Lasse

try to unflag "generate support" under support menu', and leave only "tree support" under experimental.

I have only treesupport on. The normal support option was the first thing that I've checked, as it looks a bit like normal support.

no, they are not all visible, but when searching, i was reading through the list where i can see all of them. but they are so much, and i don't have that much experience with 3d printing and cura that i may miss the right option.

eventhough the general option for generating support was switched off, the option for infil density still had an impact. by reducing it to 0 my problem was fixed.
