Color change at layer height

Prusa slicer 2.7.1 - mk3s+(fw: 3.13.2) - mmu2(fw:3.3.0.1).

i am attempting to do a color change at a layer height (at 4mm) when i select it on the bar, the reslice does not show the color change but i see it indicated at the bar.  when i send the print to the printer there is NO color change or even a pause.

i look back at the project and when i mouse over where the change is to occur i see the message:

' Color change ("M600 G1 E0.5 F1500 ; prime after color change") for extruder 4. NOTE!  There is a color change for extruder that won't be used till the end of print job.  This code won't be processed during G-Code generation'

(see screenshot for context)

what is this message and how can i specify a color change at a layer height?

wow, that is strange. I do manual color changes without an mmu, but I haven't seen this one yet.

Questions to you have an mmu connected?

In printer profile do you have multiple extruders set up?

So to answer your question yes, the mmu is connected and works without issue.

with a little more more experimentation and work on this issue.  Since I only had one color change, i set the wipe options to wipe into the print infill and no wipe tower.  If I remove the wipe options from the object, and let it generate a wipe tower, it will successfully print both colors and not have the error.  It looks like this might be a bug of some sort with the combination of options I chose.   Kind of stinks, I really want that real estate on the bed, and my prints are big enough to hide the layer color change in the infill.

I noticed this the other day I fixed it by going mmu single color mode. You could always file a github issue

Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models
