Can I see Print times and cost in Slic3r?
I am from a Cura background and rely on the Time/Cost/Filament Length info I get as I setup the print.
I have started to use Slic3r and cant find this info anywhere.. Its there in Prusacontrol, but I can't see any info about the print in Slic3r?
Am I overlooking something obvious?
Can you see the estimated time on the printer as well? Or does it just show the current duration?
Edit: I found it.. It appears on the bottom right after you export GCode.. But not after you slice.. So the only way you can see this is to Export the g-code.. That seems a little odd.. Is there no way to get this whilst you are playing around with the slicing settings, before you create the g-code?

indeed that is something many of us would like to have.

It displays this info in the bottom right after you export the gcode, i have found it to be very accurate.

I would also like the estimates to show up a bit earlier in slic3r PE, although they are about 5% pessimistic. A 10 hour estimate usually completes in around 9.5 hours with stealth mode off. Maybe it matches better with stealth mode on.
The estimates with PrusaControl are not close at all. They would estimate 6 hours for the 9.5 hour print. Filament usage is good with either tool.

Prusa is merging PrusaControl and Slic3r. I recall reading on the roadmap that they want to provide time estimates after slicing without requiring saving the gcode.

How does the slicer know the cost of the print if it never ask the cost of the filament?

There is a Cost (per Kg) field in the Filament Settings tab. If filled in, a cost estimate is provided after slicing. The current version of PrusaSlicer will provide the estimate without saving the file.

@bobstro
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, there are a lot of "settings" unfortunately I don't know what 80% of them mean...........................

Here's the setting:
After slicing, it will provide an estimated cost and filament usage:

Just to add to Bobs post, there have been a couple of posts recently since 2.3 where the costs have not been displayed. You also need to have the density value of the filament set to get a proper cost per print. It’s seems some of the filaments don’t have it set all the time.
