Build enclosure for mk3s

Hi in 3D printing I'm new and just waiting to deliver my first mk3s. I would like to help in this saturation and start printing Face Shield. That's why I also ordered PETG material so I could get into it.

The main question should I build enclosure for my mk3s? I would like to know if I can print PLA inside and then PETG in it and whether it will have any impact on the electronics if MB stays in that warmth. I would also like to know if electricity consumption will be reduced.

RE: Build enclosure for mk3s

You do not need an enclosure to print either PLA or PETG. Some people like them for appearance. Others need a warm build chamber for printing materials like ABS. If you have no compelling need for one, I wouldn't make it a priority. In warmer summer months, use of enclosures has been linked to heat problems printing PLA due to poor air circulation around the hotend cooling fins.
