UHU glu stic works well on PEI sheet and can be easily washed off. My newly commissioned MK3S kit PEI sheet would not succeed in first layer adhesion despite cleaning with 99.9% Iso Propyl Alcohol. Added some Glu stick to PEI sheet, first layer adhesion joy.

I used to have that problem, but my live z needed dialed in better.  Now, no problem.

Z height adjust was done. -0.650 for me. PEI sheet needs seasoning I guess. But Glu stick works across all my other printers.  Creality CR10 and heavily modified Anet A8. I had a PEI sheet on my old Prusa MK2, I got better first layer adhesion with Glu stic. I passed that printer onto a model railway club enthusiast. My recently built MK3S (last week) is printing well with prints on SD card. Prusa label, Dog and now the castle. Brilliant prints. I am looking forward to my own designs. The MK3S is a brilliant 3D printer, I am a happy convert back to genuine Prusa.

Maybe this is something with the new sheets.  I will be able to tell you once I test my printer with the new sheets.

One limitation of the powder coated sheets is that they cannot be cleaned with acetone. Prusa says acetone will crack the coating, and I have to agree, I have micro cracks on one side of my non-original powder-coated sheet from scrubbing it with acetone.

TheKkiinngg manual prohibits washing their powder coated sheet with soap, water, and acid. I suppose the last might be a bad translation of acetone from chinese.

If the powder coated sheets are indeed so vulnerable to chemicals, there may be limitations on how much adhesion one can get from them.

Seems like they have finally gotten stock sorted; I'd ordered Wednesday afternoon and woke up to a shipped notification this morning.

If soap affects your powder coating, you probably have not put it on correctly.

My order is still back ordered.

Yes I wonder. The thekkiinngg guide seems to say that the sheet comes 'prepared for best adhesion' and that you might lose that if washed.

But the fact that Prusa prohibits acetone, too, means that in the situations where acetone did the trick on the smooth PEI, it won't be available to use on the textured.

I can confirm that AliExpress Funssor Powder Coated beds have had some quality challenges.  The surface comes off when removing prints.

Ahhh. Just seen the "Powder coated sheets will be regularly stored in small daily batches." on the part page

Guess you have to be online at the right time.

yes... I bought one last week, during the few hours they were back in stock. 🤩

I'm having about a 50% success rate checking sporadically throughout each day. They're not easy to get, but not impossible either. You just have to be a bit persistent.
