RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
How do you find parts on the estore? I can't seem to find a page to order individual parts, like the bed sheets (either kind).
You need to log into the store with the account you bought your prusa with. (I think they don't sell parts individually except as spare parts)
RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
I think you have to login with your credentials. AFAIR the Prusa store won't show you the individual pieces until after you have purchased a printer from them. Probably their effort to reduce people from just buying parts from them to build clones and then expect support for the hacked-together clone.
Once you are logged into the store, look in the Spare Parts category. The bed sheets may be near the end of the list (either show all or go to the last page).

RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
Aha. That would explain it. I just ordered my MK3S kit this weekend. So hopefully I'll be able to access the spare parts section once it ships.
Thanks!
RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
Ahhh. Just seen the "Powder coated sheets will be regularly stored in small daily batches." on the part page
Guess you have to be online at the right time.
That is the way I understand it. Eventually sales will slow if they do this.

I suspect not, but let us know.

Or the original estimates were simply too low and this is more realistic pricing. Don't forget, Prusa took a beating getting a PC sheet out to those of us who ordered before April 2018 between the $10 discount off the original (low) price and free shipping. They are a for-profit company, so do have to make it up somewhere. It is interesting that most of the competitors who have come out in recent months are all at about the same pricing level. I suspect it just costs close fo $50 to put out a quality powder-coated textured sheet.
Or they realized that people were happy paying TheKinngg prices and figured they'd price theirs slightly less and see what happens. That's what I'd do anyway. (the market will pay what the market will bear, or something like that)

We will see how well they sell once they are widely available.

The prices were always too low. The reason they are unobtainable is because too many people can afford them and they are too costly to produce for the price they were selling for.

Not this
RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
I the king will continue with the price increase. Prusa's shipping will make their sheets a less desirable option for much of the world.

I'd go as far as to say that this wasn't triggered by TheKkiinngg, but rather by Aliexpress availability. The guys at Fysetc, Funssor and, of course TheKkiinngg were simply grabbing the market for powder coated PEI and sidelining Prusa. Even a limited availability from Prusa will help them establish the quality difference in public knowledge. I suppose the yields are still where they need to be and so the price was increased to offset the cost of failed coatings.
RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
Triangle labs appears to be the best I have tested outside of Prusa and theKKIINNGG.

Lol. I wish we could just pre-order these things so we don't have to check 20 times a day.
RE: Bed sheet prices have gone up...
Yup. I miss them by minutes each day.

Just install Check4Change or a different ad-don that periodically reloads the page and notifies you when it changes. That is how I managed to order it yesterday.
