Bed level before print leaving material on print bed

Hi,

As the bed levelling happens before each print, the nozzle is depositing a dot of material at every point it checks.....Im having to pause the print, get rid of the bits and then resume the print.... each dot is connected by a very fine strand of material so where you can see more than one dot in a space in the picture below, this is where Ive already started the removal process....

This has only started in the last week or so....  Anyone got any ideas on how to prevent this happening?

To directly point to one of the many profile examples that avoids this oozing during the mesh leveling, check out the web page by @bobstro here: http://projects.ttlexceeded.com/3dprinting_prusaslicer_gcode.html

Pretty much all of the other examples that I've seen do basically the same thing (differing only in minor details), but I point to the Muppet Labs example because @bobstro does a good job explaining what all the different pieces do. Once you know what the different pieces do, you now have the tools to thoughtfully (instead of blindly) make your own customizations.

Has something changed?

has your filament been out in the open?

may be moisture in your filament!

there are examples of profiles that only heat the extruder to a low temperature before mesh bed levelling and then heat to full temperature afterwards, to stop this happening!

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

I think it has started since I last upgraded the f/w but Im not 10% so didn't mention it in my initial post......

Filament doesn't seem to be the issue...the white in the picture was brand new and it happens with the 2 older filament rolls I have tried.

Ill have a look at @bobstro link and try a few things out.

Thanks for your help.

I just did a quick test with adding the 2 stage heat up process and it seems to have worked !

Thanks again.
