Another New 3D Printer User
I am new to 3D printing and CAM and just wanted to say how delighted I am with the PRUSA MK3S that I assembled in the last couple of days. When I ordered the MK3S in late February, I didn’t know what to expect for shipping time. Delivery time was 9 days from order to my doorstep in the southwest USA, which was much faster than I expected. During that time I learned a little bit about Fusion 360 and OctoPrint as well as watched so many YouTube videos on everything from filaments to printing surfaces and trouble shooting. The available resources in 3D printing are amazing.
The build took some time, but went really well and was well worth the time invested to see how this thing goes together. So far I’ve printed several parts in both PLA and PETG without a fail.
As a new user I want to say thanks to PRUSA for providing a fantastic kit and to the 3D printing community that helped me quickly bootstrap this new hobby.

Welcome to the makers world. Have you ordered your free MK3S upgrade kit? Assuming you ordered your Prusa "late enough" in February though
Re: Another New 3D Printer User
The kit I received was the MK3 :). And yes my order was made the last week of February.

Thanks for the welcome. 3d printing is huge fun and wish I had started sooner. My interests are hand built RC Airplanes and quad copters and part customization. Brackets and prototype fittings are also of interest. If anyone has some leads on these I would appreciate your reply. Take care.
Re: Another New 3D Printer User
I received my Prusa i3 Mk3S today. Being a printer and not a kit, it only took a few minutes to pop it out of the box, onto a table, and on to printing. The calibration wizard worked flawlessly, Z-axis offset was painless with GOOD photos. I then downloaded a 20mm calibration cube, sliced it, printed it, and found with calipers that it is within 0.03 to 0.05mm on all sides.
I'm truly wowed. I know friends of mine who have bought other models and are still trying to print something other than spaghetti, much less something with accurate dimensions.
I eventually plan to get a print farm going, but for my first printer, I'm truly impressed. Thank you.
