Yet another yet another extruder grub screw post...
I know there's been lots. going back years... So why is this still a problem?
I had a print just stop half way through - no more filament. it was completely blocked, couldn't remove, couldn't do anything.
Had to disassemble, replace PTFE tube etc.
Found the root cause was the extruder gear had moved so the gear part was pulling in the filament!
Grub screw loose. Guess what - none of the allen keys provided fit the screw... the 2mm one sort of fit, but was a shade too small, so started to strip on first attempt.
Luckily I have some imperial ones too, so was able to find one that fits.
I wonder if the problem for so many users, is that we're getting mismatched metric and prehistoric measurement units, so the slightly small allen key will strip with almost no torque....
Very very annoying, as you have to search for and wait for a correct part because of this flaw that's existed since the start it seems....
