Y-Axis Mysterious Crashes

I've had my MK3S for a couple weeks now and have greatly enjoyed it, but one thing that's been causing issues since the initial assembly is that if crash detection is on, the printer will detect y-axis crashes for seemingly no reason at around 10-13mm. It prints fine with crash detection off, but as soon as I turn it back on the crashes happen pretty consistently. I've checked all the belts, adjusted the tightness of the u-bolts on the bearings, and re-lubricated all the linear rods but the crashes still happen. Any help?

Is this happening always with the same model?

I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…

@just3d

I usually test it and have it happen on the benchy that's included on the SD card, but I've also had it happen on other models too. I can try and slice a benchy in Cura (which is my main slicer) and see if it happens there too.

It seems to be fixed? I've run a benchy sliced in Cura with z-hop and one without z-hop and it seems like it's not happening anymore. However I'm going to leave this as unsolved for a couple of days to see if it comes back.

Marking this as fixed, as it's been about a week and I haven't run into any more issues. I'm planning to do a full degreasing and re-lubrication of the bearings with lithium grease once some isopropyl alcohol arrives.
