XYZ Calibration failed - Z axis problem

Hello to all

New user of the original prusa, i was so excited when i receive my kit.

A few hours later, kit assembled

but...

I need your help 'cause at first start, during wizard and calibration process, I have 2 problems :

- first, Z motors are very noisy (really really)

- second and the most, Z axis calibration fails. It does not go all the way up to the top on the printed parts. It stops 2.5cm approx of the top

when it goes bottom to the sheet on the bed, the sheet is pinched and calibration fails

Firmware in the last version

reflashed

factory reset

screws checked

I have no more ideas, and prusa support not more

Can someone have an idea ?

Thanks for all !

Hello community

I've find myself how to solve this problem.

If like me you have Z calibration problem (extruder stops at 2.5cm of the top of the Z axis) the problem seems to be the firmware

my printer was delivered with the last one from May 2020 (3.9.0.3421 in my memory)

I tried a factory reset and reflash with the file on the prusa website but my motors was still too noisy and Z wasn't go full top for calibration

Yesterday I've downgrade the firmware

- factory reset => all data

- flash to the v3.8.1 (1.0.6)

and it solves all my problems

Yesterday, Prusa sent me 2 Z motors and a new board for the printer, i'll try this new board in last firmware with my motors and see if it works or not.

If yes, it will seem that there are different version of the board and some of them incompatbile with the last firmware 3.9.0

If it can help !

bye makers
