X-Axis Motor Cable Too Short / Binding the Z-Aixs at Top?!?

Okay so I can't get the z-axis calibration to work.

I've done everything. Finally came to the conclusion that the cable for the x-axis motor is too short.

When I manually spin the leadscrews until the z axis gets all the way to the top, the right side reaches the top just fine and the left side proceeeds just fine until all the sudden... it cant go any higher because the cable on the x axis motor wont allow it to stretch any higher.

Is this a problem anyone has experienced? How did this happen to me? Did I wire it wrong?

Update: I ran the wire for the x-axis motor through the top of the enclosure (where the extruder wires get fed through) and the printer works perfectly now!

So what does this mean LOL

Is the wire actually too short? Is there something I could have done wrong?

Either the cable really is too short (support should be able to sort you out there), or you used the wrong motor (read the print at the back of the motor - does it say "X axis"?). The different motors (should) have different cable lengths.

Yes it most definitely says X-axis on the back haha. Printer runs absolutely flawlessly with the cable routed through the top of the electronics enclosure. I'm very happy overall with my MK3. I guess I'll need to talk to support and see if the length on my motor cable actually is too short.

Got any pictures of this?

I had the same problem and figured out that I missed a step. There's a notch in the case for the X-axis cable, see the third picture in step 8.12 (Mounting the Einsy-base part 2) (MK3S instructions 3.12, linked but I don't know if that will work for everyone)

This is exactly what I missed. Thanks @corey!
