X axis layer shift

I built the mk3s+ from kit. And I have had mixed success with the prints. Some come out flawlessly - see frog below others with extreme x-axis shifting.

I have tried adjusting the x-axis belt, the value is around 254. Seemed to make the shifting worse when it did happen.

The second print is my own gcode using Prusa slicer and default mk3 profile and .15 Quality, with generic PLA.

Any ideas of what I can do to fix?

Hmm.  Did you check the pulley screws were tightened in the proper order?  Don't even trust those sensor belt tension #'s.  Download the PETG print for the belt tightness gauge, print it in PETG (only PETG) and test the belts - get them to middle range.

If it's still shifting, pulleys are slipping probably.

@dan-rogers

I did follow all tensioning orders... but still a bit strange. (realised I missed my bad print. sorry)

Printed a little PINDA guage as I had some issues with the mesh levels. And it has a stange back and forrth slope.... this is .3 print, over 1.5mm so its almost a change every layer.

When my PETG arrives I will try the belt tension

This one right?

Thanks for your help. 🙂

@ed-5

Thats the fella.

Dan printed this with Prusament PETG and AN other PETG, and I seem to remember there was a difference in the readings.

Tank you very much!
