X Axis Failing Selftest, slight resistance at same points in rotation of motor.
I have just finished my assembly of my MK3S+. I began the calibration with the wizard at which point it failed the X Axis portion of the calibration saying "Please Check: Axis Length". I have checked that no zip ties are getting in the way of the Z axis movement or of the Extruder reaching the full left and full right extent of the X axis. I have lubricated the bearings. I am doing this all with the z axis up nearly as far as it can go. I have made sure the back-plane is not choking the bearings. I even loosened the tension of the x axis belt a bit. I can move the X axis through the settings just fine to both sides. I have noticed though that there is some resistance in the x axis when moving both left and right, but only in the same ~45° portion of the motors rotation.
I am stumped! bad X axis motor? Possibly misaligned the bearings?
Edit: I forgot to mention I hear the X-axis motor making a little bit of noise some 10+ seconds after the test fails. its not moving nor vibrating the belt as if it was trying to move. Just some sort of hissing.

have you got the X axis motor Toothed Pulley, installed back to front?
the Boss, should be towards the end of the motor shaft!

Can you please show us some pictures from from printer. Different sides of the extruder just so we can see if you missed something. It is sometimes hard to see small mistakes you made as you think you did it right the first time and just do see it.

sorry, my english ist not perfect enough to understand the answer (BUT: I seem to have the same problem, please help): is this picture the correct or the false position? In the manual for the kit assembly (step 28) it is mounted in the opposite direction (small screw between belt and motor).

my mistake: I remounted the pulley, now the motor crosses from left to right, but unfortunately still produces an error in x-axis calibration.....

Did you clean and lubricate the bearings before installing them?
You might try loosening the screws that hold the extruder rear case - the ones closest to the bearings. These are known to crush the bearings and cause them to seize, especially when the weren't properly lubricated.
The other common error is people don't follow the instructions and leave the cable ties dangling out and they interfere with X travel.

Now I found the mistake: just 1 millimeter of a zip tier touched the column. So the x-axis did not fully reach the home position (and this was not easy to see, just a matter of millimeters and everything in black).
But now all the calibration is DONE!! I am happy!
(btw: I did lubricate the x-axis...)
