X-Axis Calibration Failed!
I recently decided to upgrade to a Bondtech extruder. Assembled everything just as it should be according to the manual (I've done it twice now just to be sure) and I cannot get past the self-test calibration. I keep getting the error that the x-axis calibration has failed. It looks to me like when it's moving during the test, it does not go as far to the right as it actually can. It stops something like .25"-.38" from its maximum travel and then heads back to the left, where it hits home, stops and then says "failed". However, if I were to go through the menu to "Move X axis" I can make it go that extra distance.
It's been quite some time since I've run the self-test, so I can't actually remember...is the travel I'm seeing actually normal, and so there's some other issue causing it to fail? Or does it sound like it's not really moving like it should?

the mk3 uses stall detection to identify the ends of travel, So you could be getting some resistance towards the end of the travel.
the smooth rods may need a bit of maintenance

Thank you! I’ll run through that page and report the results.
Any thought that the belt tension could be too great? When I checked the stats it said the x belt was something like 205.

1. Don't put too much value on the numbers. That being said, 205 is too tight.
2. Since you just redid the extruder, make sure the bolts holding it to the X- carriage aren't too tight.

If the belt tension is too great it can cause excess friction in the motor bearings and the idler bearings.

Hi, guys. In my case, i managed to solve it by :
1. Do endstop check. Check if any endstop is not working. Do X and Y endstop sensor.
2. My case for MK2S, Z endstop is not found.
3. I found that my case is X-endstop not working properly. When i press it, it change from zero (0) to one (1) and stay there more than 1 second. and some case it appear to be one (1) even before i press the endstop.
4. I change the endstop and run the endstop test to make sure it run as it should be. Press and it show (1) and release it show (0) instantly.
5. Then i re-run the calibration X-Y-Z calibration and works nicely with congratulation message.
6. Now my printer works as new.
hope it helps most of you. I stuck for this issue more than 1 months.. and eventually managed to solved it.
