X-axis belt alignment

Hi,

Up to Step 56 (v3.25) of assembly. Aligning the X-Axis belt.

The X-Axis belt keps moving from the centre of the pulley to the far right as i move the extruder back and forth.

Tried a few things but cant keep it centred. Feels like its rubbing on the right side of the pulley.

Can anyone suggest a way to resolve tried a few things it wont stay in the centre as per the video

Regards

RE: X-axis belt alignment

Is the bearing, in the idler, centred inside the idler body. there is a small hole on one side of the roller body  and the bearing should be pushed in all the way till it touches the shoulder...

this should prevent the roller tilting under belt tension

Thanks Joan,

The bearing in the idler body seems to be centred.

The belt sits on the opposite side from the pulley with the bearing. Neither side remains centred once the extruder moves up and down.

Not sure about the 2nd part with the small hole in the roller. Which piece is that?

Regards

I was trying to explain that the idler roller has an internal shoulder for the bearing to be pressed against, ensuring that the bearing is centralised properly

RE: X-axis belt alignment

does the X axis Idler spin freely when the tension is off the belt?
it is very easy to over tighten the bearing bolt, and cause friction on the outsides of the idler pulley
