New *assembled* rattle noise normal?
Hi there,
To start with, I just received my prusa i3 mk3s+ this week and I am in love with this thing! I also have an ender 3 v2 and its nice but just not as solid and pain free as the prusa.
I do have one odd thing going on and want to make sure nothing is wrong with it. While printing it is making a slight rattling sound which sounds like its coming from the bed area. Video attached.

No. Something is loose. Sometimes things do suffer in transit.
I would lubricate the smooth rods and check the fitting/screw tension of the Y carriage at bottom of:

And check the casing of the display, I had a similar noise once after changing the display casing. Can you stop the noise by holding or pressing down on the display casing?
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

for a decent sound recording, put the printer on a non-resonating surface and don´t move the microphone during the recording. Anyway, I agree with the above colleagues that something might be a bit loose. Paying for having the printer assembled does not mean the printer will arrive in perfect condition, giving the typical rough treatment by freight forwarders. I´d suggest you have a quick look into the manual to see where the main frame connectors are located and how screws on the printer are generally tightened without breaking anything, then you carefully check whether any screws are loose, even putting the printer on one side to get to the underside. Check the holding screws of the power supply underneath the unit, too. Check whether the heat bed is sitting well on the steel rods without any bearing holder being loose. Then, finally, having twisted and turned the printer during the inspection, put the printer on a flat surface: inductive glass cooking fields (when cold and switched off) are a good option. If the printer is not perfectly sitting on the surface, lightly losen the screws of the main frame beams, have someone else push the printer down and re-tighten the screws.

I took it apart, re-tightened everything, greased everything up and it still has a slight rattle but almost completely gone now! I will keep fiddling with it 😀
