Wiring for print fan cable?
My MK3 print fan is failing the self test. I'd like to test the cable and fan with a batter to make sure it actually works. Can someone tell me what each wire does, so I know how to connect the battery. Also, what voltage is the fan?

Black wire ground / 0volts
Red Wire 5 volts
Yellow yellow - tachometer, pulsed output from fan...

Looks like Prusa sent me a defective fan. The black wire detached itself from its base. I can't even solder it on because the underlying metal was ripped off with it.

Same problem here. Did you find a solution other than replacing the entire fan?
