First layer problem

Hi!

I have little problem with bed levelling . Middle section of the bed is lower than the corners. I tried to fix this with "bed level correct" but without success.

Re: First layer problem

I start by easing off on that center screw. If that doesn't work, I'd try to determine by how much the center of the bed needs to be raised, and try a washer/shim of the appropriate thickness between the bed and spacer.

That's "MISTER Old Fart" to you!

Today i tried adding aluminum foil under central screw spacer
(1.jpg). I added 10 pieces with correspond to ~ 0,105mm (aluminum standard foil is 0.0105mm), but again there was no difference. (2.jpg). Then I added 4 pieces in the center under steel sheet. It helped a bit, but I'm not happy with this solution (3.jpg), so I removed all aluminum foil pieces. In addition, I readed the results from bed leveling at different temperatures.

Re: First layer problem

If the bed leveling properly worked the bed should not need to be leveled. I tried leveling the bed with shims and really it made no difference on the first layer. The PINDA still senses the metal build plate the same even after adjusting the bed height with shims. It also depends on how precise the X-axis is homed (leveled). Proper PINDA sensing should compensate for that minor X-axis and bead height change if it worked well. I'm not saying it doesn't work but rather that it can still use more development. I like my home MK3 and had my company purchase one for work use but the MK3 still needs further development as well.

Re: First layer problem

I think most importantly is to have the heat bed surface flat in all directions.
