Where to have spare parts printed?
I got a screw stuck in one of the plastic parts during assembly. The nut spun in the hole during insertion. I don't own another printer. Does anyone know where (website?) I can get the part printed with the correct material?
Where are you and what part do you need
I could print it for you - cover the shipping and print time/materials. Where are you located approx?
RE: Where to have spare parts printed?
I'm in the U.S. - California. You would do that for me???? wow. It's the Y motor holder for MK3S+.
RE: Where to have spare parts printed?
If you are anywhere in the midwest area of the States, I would also be willing to reprint a piece for you and send it off to you.
RE: Where to have spare parts printed?
Sure. Can you point me to exact .3mf or STL that you want me to print? There are several Y motor mounts on the print library. There are some "problems" associated with the original design - the Y stop on the stock holder is the Y axis linear bearing holder; the motor is too close to the back frame and rattles, and the pulley is not easy to get centered on the belt
https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/57937-mk3s-y-axis-motor-mount-ultra is an example (solves the pulley and stop problems).
I'll print one up today if you tell me which one you want.

Hello there sgomes.
Prusaprinters has a neat feature that lets you see the locations of other Prusa printer owners under the WORLD button in the top bar of the homepage. You can also turn on a filter to only show "print on demand" users that are willing to print parts for you in exchange for payment. I would just give this a quick look, because you can potentially save money on shipping and maybe get to know a fellow printer in your local area. I hope you find this helpful!

RE: Where to have spare parts printed?
Thanks for the quick response Dan! I have been preoccupied with Thanksgiving.
As for which part to print, this is my very first 3D printer of any kind. I don't think I feel comfortable "modding" it right off the bat. I would feel better using the stock parts even if there are known flaws. As painful as it is, I like to find things out on my own. Can you print the original part for me? I will see if I can find the file but I'm betting you already have it.
You got it. I'll print you up a stock Y mount tonight.
Got a pause in print schedule, so I'll print you a stock on tonight.
Finished. Link below
Finished printing the part for you. It came out exactly like from the factory. Print time was 1.5 hours, material costs were .38 - how does $3 for the print plus shipping sound? If ok, come and get it here on my etsy shop (makes packing it up and sending it to you easy for me).
Link here - only 1 in stock and it goes away after you order it. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1115270284/y-motor-holder-for-mk3s?ref=listing_published_alert
RE: Where to have spare parts printed?
Thank you Dan! Done!
Are all those fishing lures 3D printed? They look amazing.
Yes, lures are 3D printed
Thanks. They work amazingly well too!
