What's wrong with my MK3?

Hi everybody

I'm very new to 3d printing and i received my Prusa MK3 KIT 2 weeks ago. It took me 8 hours to build it and first prints where amazing.
Everything has been working fine since and i'm starting to print larger and more complex objects and now i'm having some difficulties.

I printed out some cylinders but somehow they dont look that well. I used the standard settings without modifiny anything.
0.2mm layer height and slowed down the speed to 85%

and this is my benchy for comparison:

I have rechecked if everything sits tight, every bolt is fine.
I also checked the tightening screws for the extruder and have lowered the tension, it's just enough to extrude and retract without problem.
Done the calibration twice, that's also fine.

I have no clue what else i could try to improve that.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks alot for your help.

That looks like somewhat normal over-extrusion at the start of each new layer. They become less visible if the layer start is set to "random" in Slic3r. There may be ways to change the extrusion rate, but I am not sure how since I have never messed with them.

Yep, there's nothing wrong with your printer. Usually, the slicer will place the layer change somewhere in a corner where it doesn't show, but a cylinder has no corners of course...

Nothing, works as designed 😉

Play with the Seam position (slic3r).

Hi all

thanks for your answer.
I've been playing around with the settings in slic3r and you're right, the seam position seems to fix that.

However i found that my rods on the x-axis have been damaged by my bearings and prusa is sending me replacement for that.
I hope that will also improve few things for my prints.

thanks again and have a good day
