What is this a symptom of?
Hi all,
Newbie to 3d printing here. Printer was working fine, I left it sit (covered) for several months and then tried to print again. I started seeing these sloppy spots shown below. They occur in different spots at each attempt.
Can someone tell me what this is a symptom of and how I might go about correcting?
Thank you!

That looks like a grease spot on the build sheet. Probably a fingerprint but there are other possible causes.
Use dishwashing detergent and plenty of HOT water.
Cheerio,

I'd go through the first layer adjustment again. Looks like your head might be a little too close.

General forum advice: The moment you decide to post in the forum, take a few seconds and think of what other people with the same problem might have come up with as a title for their question. In you case for example “blobs on the first layer”, use the search, find this people’s threads and the answers given (in your case: clean bed, adjust fist layer up) and if you do not find corresponding threads or suitable answers: use a meaningful title, so people with the same problem might find it in the future. This way everybody wins, you get answers instantly, people do not need to answer several times and others find help more easily.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Thank you for this. This was the root cause of the bubbling. After cleaning with alcohol it worked fine. That said, @Extra-fox's suggestion to re-calibrate was also helpful and made the printing quality even better. Thank you to you both!
