What do I call this?

After more than 1km of filament used, my printer has developed a problem. Most of each print looks fine to me but one or two areas might exhibit some thin gaps in a layer. I printed the top for the PlayStation VR stand off Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1978075 ), here's pics of both ends:

Back end looks ok?

Front end has these little gaps:

Any idea what causes it? I've only used PLA filament in this printer.

I've had several other prints do this so I'm assuming it's not the model. Also does it with different filament.

Here's an earlier print with a similar defect but worse:

TIA,

Stephen

Re: What do I call this?

My first suspicion is a partial clog if this is the same filament that has been printing perfectly. cold pull is the Rx for this
next is plastic dust in your bond tech extruder gears Rx is blast with canned duster air from both sides.
and at the bottom of the list is under extrusion or variation in the plastic filament perhaps caused by moisture if you are in a humid part of the world.

others here know far more than I about Prusa diagnostics than I so you should wait for some expert advice.

i just had the same thing happen. I think it is a partial clog. Funny thing it only happened with a brand new roll of two identical rolls.

Doesn't seem to be filament related since I have several different rolls that used to print fine and now have these little gaps? I'll try a cold pull and blow out the extruder gears. Air is super dry here for the last several months and I keep the filament rolls in a sealed container so I hope it's not moisture?
Thanks!
