What caused this failure?
I'm not sure if this belongs in the "first prints troubleshooting" forum, as I've made about 30 successful prints already, all flawless. But, for lack of a better place:
What caused this failure? This print looks beautiful right until the moment when it doesn't. Camera recording of the print shows nothing out of the ordinary.
I would be grateful for any suggestions and hints.
RE: What caused this failure?
What did you try to print?
Which model, which filament, which settings? You should zip and attach you project to give needed data.
RE:
Oh, sorry. I'll attach the STL and gcode. I should probably also say that this STL printed fine as part of a multi-object print just a day earlier, same filament, same settings.
I'm using Fiberlogy EasyPLA bright green and slicing with the "Fiberlogy PLA" preset, which from what I can tell isn't much different from the Generic PLA setting, 215C first layer, 210C subsequent layers. 0.20mm layer height, no supports, 15% infill.
EDIT: ok, I'm not sure what happens to the files that you attach to posts, but they don't seem to appear anywhere. The STL is from the "Venus Box" project ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1559232), it's the COVER2.STL file.
RE: What caused this failure?
Please ZIP and attach your .3mf so we can see your settings. You must ZIP your files or they won't attach.

RE: What caused this failure?
Ok, let's try attaching once again.
RE: What caused this failure?
PrusaSlicer 2.4.0 is complaining about 1652 errors, which can be repaired with netfabb. Have you already tried this?
RE: What caused this failure?
Well, I guess I'll have to treat this failure as a fluke. Cosmic rays or something. I printed this again without issues, and all my other prints are fine. Still no idea what went wrong here, but at least it seemed to have been a one-off.
RE:
I'm glad it printed. I studied your .3mf and couldn't find any obvious issues. Spheres tend to be more challenging for filament printers to print well.
