Well, how did I do?
Finally took the plunge and purchased a MK3S+ kit.
We've used 3D printers at work for over 20 years, so I'm pretty familiar with the concept. However, we've always had resin printers so I don't have much experience with FDM. Also, I do the modeling, but never run the printers.
This Benchy looks pretty decent to my eyes, but I suspect there are some subtleties in the surface finish that would tell all of you more than it tells me.
This is the first print. Once I got through the setup wizard, I just selected this and hit "Go".

As a first print I would be well chuffed with that. Quality looks great.
Will start building my kit this weekend - hope to achieve a result like that!
