Weird characters displayed during bed calibration

Hi,

Just finished assembling MK3 with no issues. Powered up OK and appeared to work fine. However, at some point I started a bed calibration, and got some very weird characters on the LCD display (pics below, I hope).

Any ideas?

TIA,

Frank

It looks to me like your unit needs replaced. It is a board level repair at best.

This looks to me that you have a loose cable or plug.

Maybe you have a corrupt firmware, but this is very unusal.

Try to repug the cables on the Einsy and LCD controller. If this doesn't solve the problem, try to reflash the firmware.

So I woke up this morning, turned the unit on, and since then it has been working perfectly with no strange characters - go figure! If I hadn't taken photos from last night I would have thought I was hallucinating ;-).

Anyway, I'm happily printing out the 'Prusa Candy Bar' test object right now ;-).
