Upgrade from MK3 to MK3S - bad print quality

Hello,

I upgraded my my MK3 to MK3S (Extruder + Y-axis belt tensioner) and now my prints are not good as before, before they were almost perfect.

I don't know how to describe this but the layers look weird

Could it be, that my belts are to tight (tightnes on both belts is around 275)?

Here is another print in PLA. The surface has a strange wave like look. Also, everything that on the inside of the print, transfers to the outside surface. Look at the top and the bottom of this case, you can see, where the solid layers are.

Hi and welcome!

The issues you're showing are not unique to the 3S; but it's possible something you adjusted/did during the teardown made it a little more visible. It's also possible that instead of making it "appear", you didn't actually cause it, but fixed something else that was masking it. (In other words, you see these sorts of surface defects mainly once everything else is in good shape)

Belt tension can definitely make this issue more or less visible, as can rubbing on pulleys (center them as best you can!) etc.
