underextrusion?

dear all! just build my first mk3s+ about 3 days ago. the problem is that it seems like i got some underextrusion. i rechecked the gears and the tension of the extruder. i also tried different filaments and the settings are original without changes. can anybody tell me whats wrong here? i also tried it with the original smooth sheet with the same result.

best regards! 🙂

Looks like your Calibration is off. Try doing it again.

i already recalibrated. and if i go lower i got a very unclean surface in the first layer so i see that it is too low. well i am not a pro in 3d printing but if the surface gets unclean it means that it is too low right? i also have no clean walls. and i think i can remember that those problems are a sign for underextrusion or i am wrong?

Check the grub screws in your belt-driver pulleys, they MUST be tightened in sequence as in the instructions.

IF they are correct check your belt tensions.

Cheerio,

RE: underextrusion?

Hi,

for me it seems your printer can not build up pressure fast enough (small holes in surface connecting to perimeters).

Bed level seems okayish to me - i'd focus on the extruder.

  • listen closely (clicking noises) and check if your filament is grinded
  • check extruder tension
  • is your filament path clean?
  • can your spool run freely?
  • perform a cold pull to clear a potential partial clog (highly recommend this)
  • filament with high diameter tolerance? (not likely)

Let is know if you succeeded!

You got this!
