Unable to print with PrusaSlicer

Hello,

I just recently finished upgrading to the MK3S. There are some parts I need to reprint so I'm trying to print the x-carriage with Prusa PETG. I sliced it with PrusaSlicer and it's having issues printing. I have attached photos.

In the first layer it prints barely any plastic in one section of the part. In the second layer it's basically scraping the first layer. Plastic keeps building up on the nozzle and it drops plastic blobs.

I've already done Extruder calibration (ensure it's pulling in correct amount of material), XYZ calibration, First layer calibration and live adjust Z, PID tuning, and Extrusion multiplier calibration.

This is getting very aggravating. It seems to print a lot better with Simplify 3D, but it still has plastic building up on the nozzle. PrusaSlicer default retraction length for PETG is 0.8mm, but I tested it and changed it to 4mm.

This is the print that was sliced by Simplify3D. It shows that the part completed printing, but the whole part wasn't printed...

A retraction value of more than 2mm will be risking pulling molten filament back into the cold area leading to increased risk of jamming.  So with models that have a lot of retraction that's not a good idea.  If you are getting excessive stringing then its better to adjust temperature rather than retraction.

Also when posting images you need to use the link to media option otherwise they are too small to actually make out any details.  You could also post a zipped up copy of your 3mf project here if you are able to.  That way people can see and duplicate what settings you are using and have a far greater chance of helping you.  Once you have your project sliced the way you want then go to Save Project As and save it as a .3mf.  The 3mf will then contain your model, their placements, whatever modifiers are in use as well as all your print, filament and printer settings.

Ok, let's see if these images were posted correctly. I also don't know why the images are rotated. On my phone and computer they have the correct orientation. I have attached a zipped up copy of my 3mf project.

It is hard to say - but it looks like you Live-Z is a bit high; so layer one isn't sticking well.  Layer two comes along and pulls it up.

Generally, contamination on the bed, and Live-Z are the two factors you'll need to deal with to resolve the problem.

Many have found alcohol is not enough to get the textured sheet clean enough to print well - and have resorted to soap and water for the initial preparation after a kit build.

Hmm, so it looks like I can print the x-carriage with no problem now with Simplify3D. There might be something wrong with the .stl that Simplify3D fixes. From @neophyl's advise I changed the retraction length to 2mm and then I changed the extrusion multiplier from 1 to 0.95 and the first layer height from 75% to 100%.

Which picture shows that my live-z is high? I didn't have any issues with the first layer sticking to the bed. The part of the print where PrusaSlicer was trying to basically smash the filament into the bed was so thin it was impossible to get the material off. The material only came off eventually from prints I did afterwards.
