Tried everything !! Turning up on corners halfway through

I have been trying to print this part all week.
I have done 3 similar parts to make up a base and this is the last of 4.
I have tried it on a MK2 changed filament tried Slicer and then Prusa control.
Sometimes it tells me its a fan problem other times this happens(see pic)
I am printing in PLA on a standard 20% infill 0.2 and generic PLA.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Chris

To add, first layer second layer all seem great. In fact it all seems fine until i return a few hours later and see this !

Point 1. Have you calibrated the z level correctly?
Point 2. Is the bed cleaned with warm water and detergent?

If you answer no to either or both, then do it before continuing.
Please give us a picture of how the first layer looks.

From the photo it looks more like layer separation than bed adhesion. Maybe nozzle temperature or extruder problems?

Just a guess,

Hi ,

OK so done everything that was suggested, cleaned the base thoroughly and ran all calibrations.
First layer pics attached.
Also had another MK3 knocking about as ya do so tried it on that.
Seems same problem with corners lifting but the adhesion seems better from layer to layer(see second pic)

Have ran checks on the STL and thats fine.

Im starting to thing maybe the glue im using may have been about for a while - dried out maybe???

I use the Kores stick that came with the machines.

Spoke too soon - Adhesion problems again.

Notice it stringing just before - Could room temperature play a part ?

Just pulled it off and separated the model, seemed very easy to be pulled apart ....first few layers one half and the other when the infill starts.
Right over you guys ...Been pulling hair out for a week now - 🙁

Have you tried scrubbing the build plate with hot dilute dish washing detergent and water solution, using a scotchbright pad? and drying with clean dry paper towel?

Re: Tried everything !! Turning up on corners halfway through

This looks like 2 issues to me, maybe 3...

The photos are not very clear but the ones that show the print with the separated layers look like there is an extrusion issue. The infill looks jagged on top and the infill layers seem to have gaps. I would check for a partially blocked nozzle or bontech gear tension. Check the tension first, if that does not help do a cold pull.

Second, the nozzle on the first layer seems to be very low, it looks as if you have ridges in the corner from extrusions squeezed too much. You want to lower the nozzle until you can pull the first layer off the bed and the individual lines are just fully welded together.

Third, as noted by others, the bed adhesion is too low. Clean the bed.

Try different pla.
Normally this happens with ABS.
Wind could be a problem, room to cold?

1 layer hotter(then it sticks better), other layers colder(try different temps here).

Adjust first layer.

Use glue stick.

Print slower.(not to slow).

Check if you manual start the extruder, if pla is a nice stream of pla out of the extruder, if it is not clogged.

In my opinion, this is typical of PLA and larger items. Switch to PET and the problem is gone.
