Top layer tweaking

Looking for tips on how to get my non-ironing top layer to not have those two zit/bulges at the bottom left and near the Z. These are the spots where the infill pass will end before lifting the extruder. Thanks in advance!

Two tips:

  • Use Monotonic top infill pattern.
  • Calibrate your extrusion multiplier to reduce slight over extrusion which can create ridges along top surface.

@bobstro

  • It's already Monotonic. I used the 0.20mm Quality preset from PrusaSlicer without much modification.
  • I'll try to find a guide on how to do this. Would this be under print settings, filament, or printer?

Here's Prusa's procedure. There are many variations.

Go for the last layers to 0.15 or 0.1.

Lower extrusion multiplier.

Use more  or less heat.

Of course use ironing, and ironing you could adjust settings, so it does only a little  ironing.(adjust spacing and or speed of ironing).

And every filament will be different, and you need to adjust.
