Support material

While trying to print the submarine it appears the support material just dribbles out and is not adhering to the bed... It prints the bottom tail fin first then the "support" material just comes out when the z is to high off the bed. BTW im only two days into printing so slicer is very new to me. Ill try and add the file later so you can see what slicer is doing.

Thx

RE: Support material

We need pictures to understand what you're seeing.  Start with a z-offset calibration print, your first layer may not be in the correct place.

RE: Support material

I have printed 10 other prints with no issues. This is the first time I have needed supports. So basically I need to figure out slicer. I have not  change anything in slicer beside filament so far. I had the auto support checked but it did not work apparently.

Good, changing the defaults is generally not the solution. For everything else: Save, zip and post your slicer-project.

the printer is on a 13 hr print wont be done for 7 more hours. Love this Prusa so much. Super happy with my choice as my first printer.

Did you know that you can scrub through any layer and see how the nozzle will move? I scrubbed through the first layer and the slicer is indicating the order of what is printed on that first layer: first the skirt and then the perimeter of the support area and then the fill of the support area and then that little rectangle for the fin is last. Is it possible that you had some mechanical problem and the printer wasn't extruding for most of that first layer until it got to the fin? See picture below: the scrubber is across the bottom and I have it scrubbed over halfway through the layer. Note the icon for the nozzle at the top.

You need to save, zip and post the .3mf-file from PrusaSlicer not the .STL, otherwise your settings (supports) will not be included...

RE: Support material

Please ZIP and attach your .3mf file. (It won't attach if it is not zipped)

No, that's your model only (.STL). Save in PrusaSlicer, you get an .3mf, zip (as you did with the STL) and post.
