Strange looking first layer

I've had my printer running for a little more than a week now, only using the smooth sheet.
I tried the textured one a couple of days ago, and failed miserably.

Tonight, I finally managed to get prints to stick on it - It turned out to be because I didn't rub the sheet well enough, when cleaning with IPA.

After a few smaller prints, I decided to move on to some side-boxes for the printer, and then I noticed tis very strange looking first layer, which I've never seen before on any other printers I've used.

The filament is a brand new spool of Prusament PETG, which I unwrapped just before printing this.
Bed: 85c, Nozzle: 240c

Does anybody know what could cause this?

Best Answer by cwbullet:

That is rippling or waving and it is caused by the first layer being too low.  Check your LIVE Z.  PETG is especially susceptible.

Hmm... I thought I nailed the Z calibration.
I'll give it another try, maybe with a model bigger than the default for calibration. Thanks 🙂

@charles-h13

Adjusting Z 0.025 further away from the bed seems to have solved it. Thanks! 🙂

Z adjustment is different for PLA and PETG usually.  It can need tweaking on a per material basis.
