Step 51 Aligning the X-axis belt

I am in the middle of assembling a MK3S+, but I am stuck at aligning the x-axis belt. I cannot move the pulley far enough back, so I fear I made a mistake somewhere along the way. I tried to take pictures, but as you don't see the belt from above when properly positioned, I had to take them at a slight angle.

Here you can see the belt twisting when I keep it aligned and feed it into the pulley:

And here you can see where the belt should sit in order to be correctly aligned top to bottom:

I am sorry for the link, but when I try to insert it as an image, it only shows a placeholder.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be wrong?

Hi Grigro,
Have another look at the Assembly  manual,
you have the motor pulley mounted back to front, the wider hub should be toward the end of the shaft, not towards the body of the motor

You put the pulley on backwards. The piece with the grub screws has  to point to the front of the printer.

Oh,thank you guys so much. It's like in coding - you stare at the obvious problem but you just can't see it.

Maybe you can help me with my next question, as this is just poorly documented: step 56 - how far do I need to insert the nylon filament? I put it in like a 3-4mm, but that's it. Is that ok?

3-4 mm isn't enough.  It is something like 8-10 mm iirc.

You can feel how deep the hole is with a small allenkey.

You may have to clear out the hole a little to make the nylon filament fit. Don't over do it as it has to be a tight fit.
