Small filaments
Hi, I'm a newby in 3d printing. We have a new Prusa i3 MKS3+ in our lab.
We are using since just a couple of months (using Prusa Slicer and the default configuration for PLA).
The initial prints were really perfect. Now we are noticing some very fine strands between the empty parts of the print. Between the initial perfect prints and the current prints we changed the PLA filament: the initial filament was the one provided with the 3D printer (so I guess a Prusa original filament), the second filament is a generic PLA filament bought on Amazon.
Do you have any idea why we get these strands?

These small filament strands are caused by the oozing as the print head moves between objects. That can happen with over extrusion or wet filament. You could try to increase retraction on the slicer. If it is wet filament that likely will not. You may or may not hear hissing to hoping during the printing of wet filament. I would try another roll of filament and see if you have the same issue.

Thanks a lot. I confirm the filament used was quite old, and not correctly stored, so probably it was wet. I'll try next week with a new filament, giving feedback on the print quality .
