Settings > Extruder = output, but first layer print outputs no filament

I recently bought the Prusa enclosure and was excited to get everything going but when I reached the point where I needed to print some not-included-parts, the printer failed really badly at printing, making real sloppy looking renders. So, I started checking the device using calibration tests and wizard. Now as I have tried to trouble shoot it seems to be printing worse and worse and now won't even output filament when doing a first layer test. The last thing I did was unscrew the housing for the bondtech gear. I inspected the alignment and it looked fine, so I screwed the screw back in which pulls the opposing door and mechanism into place. I'm not sure if I have over tightened this but I don't like how far the bolt is ticking out on the opposite side.

When I try and run the Extruder using the move x/y/z extruder page, it outputs fine. But when I try and run the first layer test nothing comes out.

Suggestions

If you are using the Prusa screw, the end should only be a little more than flush with the end of that nut. Yours might be so tight I'm surprised you are getting anything thru and likely chewing up the surface of your filament. I'd open and clean the feed teeth with a dental pick to ensure they are clean and then loosen that nut The Prusa knowledgebase has recommended setting.. maybe you are using a different size screw .. but on the stock screw size that would be much too tight.

I only just spotted your response. I'll take a look. If it is supposed to be close to flush then mine would be significantly overtightened, in fact, I'm shocked that there's a chance to over tighten this much. Perhaps I used the wrong screw somehow? unlikely.. but.. what is this part called and or can you link me to the KB article discussing its recommended adjustment?
