Bad Power Supply?

MKS3+

Plugged in, turned on but on/off button does not light up and no visible power except print bed sensor light.  Nothing on LCD.

Where next?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

RE: Bad Power Supply?

Sorry, don’t see an obvious way to edit my original post…

Green light was on (turned off for safety of taking pic) but other than the glow of the bed sensor light, nothing shows on LCD.

LCD came unplugged during checks…in self test now.

Still no light on PSU…is that normal?

Do you have a multimeter?

Check the supply is providing 24v DC.

If not, first check the mains connection; does another appliance work in the same socket?  If so, try the printer with a different power cable, try the printer's power cable with a different appliance.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheerio,

Sorry for the delay...I talked to a couple of other Prusa users and their light is also not on when powered up...thinking this is "standard"?

Does either fan spin up on switch on?

Check your LCD connections at both ends - pull and replug.

Thanks for the tip!  I'll try between prints as soon as I can!
