Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
Hi guys, middle and 2 bottom screws on back of X carriage don't bite anything . What I miss in assembly?
I refer on step 43 in assembly steps.
Tnx
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
There are only 12 steps on assembling the x axis. Do you mean assembling the extruder ? If so isnt step 43 inserting 2 zip ties ?
Anyway from your description you have probably missed inserting the M3 nuts into the Extruder back, these are what the X carriage screws thread into. Its Step 16 on E Axis assembly https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+E-axis+assembly/1055?lang=en
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
Sory, step 43 Mounting the X-carriage back in (5. E-axies assembly (spiral wrap))
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
As I said check out Step 16, picture number 2, where you insert square nuts into the X-Carriage assembly. These nuts are what the x-carriage back screw into.

RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
Ive just realised we are referencing 2 different build guides . I was using the MK3S build guide and you the MK3 guide. Which printer are you trying to assemble ?
If using the Mk3 v3.06 guide that you linked to above you want X Axis assembly step 11 x carriage preparation. That shows inserting the square nuts.
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
I see now where I was make mistake. I 'm using MK3 model.
Tnx for help.
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
I was going to mention the MK3 vs MK3S issue - it would explain using the wrong screws for the job.
RE: Screws on X-carriage-back dont byte anything
yes, maybe I use wrong screws..must check it
