Recent Print Wobble Issues

I have been noticing some recent wobble and small sort of layer shifts so to say in my prints. I am not sure what is causing this if it is hardware or software.  I am using the Mk3 with Prusa slicer and Solutech PLA.

Is that some sort of full print plate test object? Can you post a picture of the bottom of the object, where it contacts the print plate?

Check the easy things first. See if the stepper gear grub screws are all tight on X and Y, and that the belts are not too loose.

While you are in there, check the bearings too. With power off, the extruder and print platform should move smoothly both directions, end to end.

Any binding in either direction has to be addressed.

Yes it is a test object just not the entire plate, all axis move freely and the stepper gears are on tight. The only thing is the belts are slightly looser than I would normally like them to be. What is the best way to tighten them?

Well your corner to corner adhesion, and first layer, look better than I expected. Not sure what is going on right in the center.

On my belts, I tend to ignore the tension numbers. Those are really just motor resistance and not tension anyway.

I adjust mine just until they do not "droop" and not overly tight. Seems to work.

I hate the Prusa method of adjustment. I have X axis parts printed to improve it (part of BNSX upgrade), but have not found time to install them yet.

Ok I might find some parts that are easier to adjust as I haven't had much luck with mine either. Do you have any recommendations on specific ones?

Has the printer been printing good before this started?

Have you changed or messed around with anything recently, filament, hardware, software...?

I am not going to make a recommendation, since I have not used one yet - but look at something like this: (not compatible with stock extruder)

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3559732

It uses a screw adjustment for belt tension - which is ideal.

@gkmakeit

It has been working great, I upgraded to the new extruder design with the official kit a couple months ago and had some hiccups after that but since then it has been great.
