Problem printing second layer and above ?.

Hello,

I am facing severe issue with printing second layer onwards. First layer prints good and then remaining layers are a mess. I tried cold pulling and cleaning nozzle with needle. Now print breaks randomly and not strong. Infill looks really bad and hair thin. Issue is same for all filaments including Prusa.

Should I clean nozzle by removing it or clean PTFE tube? Please guid me, I got this assembled and don't know the exact steps for this issue resolution.

Printer jams at 0.05 mm layer height. It also jams when starting from previously left with filament on. It was working great until I left it with filament unused for a week.

thanks

0.05 mm layer height?

Try the standard 0.2 height.

Make a picture of your first layer, without picture we can not see.

Make picture of failure higher up.

You could check for a partial clog, move extruder higher up, set temp extruder, extrude filament, it should not bubble(water in filament), check if it is thick enough, of course a few cold pulls you could try(and check how filament tip looks like).

To get a good print this is needed:

1. Clean bed, use dish soap, this is the best, alcohol you can use in between a few times, then use dish soap again.

2. First layer needs to be 100%.(see youtube movies how it should look like).

Both settings are needed to get a good print higher up, to get maximum sticking to bed, to avoid model get llose, to avoid a big blob of filament sticking to nozzle. Spend a lot of time to learn this, is very important.

If you move printer, or had a crash,

do a z-calibration, then both z motors will be level again.

Both z axis should hit the top at the same time.
