Problem FirstLayer
Hi!, I have been using my new Mk3 for one month, without problems, but suddenly it began to make mistake at the first layer.... im desesperate...
I cleaned ten times the PEI sheet (first with soap and then alcohol isopropilic), I have reacalibrated xyz many times... but nothing. the problem with the first layer persist.
Im printing PLA to 215º the first layer with the bed to 60º, I tried with 75º but nothing new happened...
At the begining it prints perfect, but before two minutes the filament in the first layer, begins to do .... kind of waves?? you can see it in the images...
Someone has any suggestions...? I dont know

Most likely your nozzle is too close. Trying to jam too much filament from too close causes it to squish out around the nozzle and produce those wrinkles. Try the Live-Z adjustment and raise (make less negative) your adjustment. I'd raise it 0.02mm to start and work from there. The ""life adjust" procedure is much easier to use and understand than the on-board Live-Z adjust routine.

This seems to happen a lot. People get their printer, they dial in the calibration, it works for a couple of weeks to a month and then those amazing reproducible results go down the toilet. Then they get told to change their Live Z despite the fact that nothing has changed.

You definitely need to maintain them, as with any mechanical process. If you change any number of factors, it can throw your previous results off. Recalibration is not a big deal once you're used to the process. When you say "nothing's changed" keep in mind people are removing and replacing the flex steel sheet, handling it, and changing materials and settings, all of which can affect 1st layer results. Add in nozzle changes and replacing/upgrading parts and firmware and it's hardly surprising periodic tuning is required. Ask anybody that plays a stringed instrument and it's the same thing.

I agree with you bobstro its' like an instrument, from time to time you need to recalibrate it. I dont mind, I like playing with it :). I did more tests today, with a lower ambient temperture than others days. I adjusted the Live-Z and I have had better results (you can see the pics).
But I m not sure about the origine of the "Waves", because today waves have appeared in the last part of the first layer... its very strange, the nexts layers are absolutely perfects.
I will carry out more attemps...

Yes I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol but nothing... the first layer always made waves..., the second layer is perfect...!

Acetone, not Isopropylalcohol. I do Acetone and IPA after that as well

Hello!
About this problem described by José María and the images, I could say that whenever I have observed waves in the impressions, they are due to loose screws in the extruder fastening as the most probable cause and to the fastening of the fixation of the X, Y, Z movements in general.
There are more complex cases, but first you should start with these.

That said, it wasn't clear from your OP that the first layer has always made those waves. This is indicative of something else--perhaps a couple of things. I'm (now) thinking incorrect Z-adjustment, but the periodic nature of the waves suggests vibration of some sort--perhaps due to loose/misaligned parts, as Mario has suggested.
