Print issue fails/misses layers

I have moved this post from the general discussion as I posted it in the wrong section.

I am having recurring print failures and I can not seem to find the root cause of the issue.

@randym9 suggested it may be a bridge/overhang support issue.  I have checked the 3mf file and can not see any support issues.  Please see attached the.3mf files.

I have swapped the print files to a different printer and it prints without any problems.  So I think the issue could be with the printer.

The first image is on a different printer and the second image is on the printer that has been giving me a constant headache

Any ideas?

RE: Print issue fails/misses layers

These pictures show different projects, so the comparison is not helping to find your problem... To troubleshoot you need to print the same project on your two printers, if it fails on one and succeeds on the other, you have rules out a parameter/overhang/support problem and can focus on finding the hardware problem on the other printer...

Regarding your project: I see a lot of trouble with this, I'd be very surprised to see this print successfully on a Prusa MK3. Main poinst imho:

1) These parts are definitely not designed for 3d-printing. Even if you get them printed, it will probably not work/fit/hold as expected.

2) Do not print more than one piece at a time, they are troublesome enough on their own.

3) Optimize the placement in regard of which side to place it on and the kinetic energy of the part on the moving bed (the flat cover plate in front will never stay attached to the bed if you print at normal speeds and have only just a little less than optimum adhesion with the bed moving)

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!
