Oversized Holes

Hi,

Admittedly, I am pretty new to FDM.  I have a strange problem.  I have a part with two 0.250 inch holes that are perpendicular to the bed.  They are coming out 0.020 inch too large on the diameter.  The top of the hole has a 0.507 inch diameter counter bore that is printing correctly as are the rest of the dimensions that are also formed by the X and Y axis.  I double checked my model in Solidworks.  I am not sure how to measure the output STL file, but I see no reason for the STL to be dimensionally off in just two holes.

I feel like I am missing something obvious.  0.020 inch is a lot, and from what I see when I search, small holes is the typical issue.  I'm using Prusa PLA, all stock settings.  I've printed at 0.2mm Quality and 0.3mm Draft.

Any ideas what might cause such oddity?

RE: Oversized Holes

Your best chance is to have someone look at your object.

Save your project in PrusaSlicer as a .3mf file. Zip it up and post it here.

Why .3mf? It includes all your PrusaSlicer settings so we can see what was going on.

Ugh, please disregard this entire topic.  I had duplicate files that caused me confusion.  The holes are printing exactly as they should and I apologize for wasting anyone's time.  Funny, I am new to FDM (excuse), but not new to managing my own CAD files and versions (excuse does not apply). 🙂

RE: Oversized Holes

Surprising how many people get an extra object definition in their model. One of our standard checklist items now.

Glad you got it sorted!
