Over extrusion requiring Very low extrusion multiplier

I just finished assembling my printer and managed to print one part. Assembly went smooth and the quality of the small piece I printed is exceptionally good.

However I am not able to do any prints as I run into a number of problems. You might see me posting a number of topics here. Here is the second one.

My printer seems to really over extrude. I am having to set Filament Extrusion Multiplier to down to 50 or 60% to get good result. The lowest recommended value is 90% I saw somewhere.

I have used the filament provided with my printer and started to print a 3d benchy from the gcodes provided. Result was just a big mess of over extrusion. See the picture below.

Why would I have such over extrusion? Should I live with it and just adjust with the 50 or 60% multiplier? Is there anything I can look into that might show a problem somewhere?

RE: Over extrusion requiring Very low extrusion multiplier

I have been contacted by Prusa who asked me to flush all data and install an older firmware.

Following these actions my printer is now working.
