Over-Extrusion at Corners?

Apologies if this has been covered - I didn't find any similar topics in my search.

I have recently completed the firmware and hardware upgrade from the MK3 to MK3S.  Re ran the calibration wizard and all checks out.  However when I ran a test print of the Prusa Logo that came with the original MK3 kit it appears to be over extruding in the surface layer where the diagonal infill comes to the shortest strokes at the end/corner. It did not do this before.

Note: I'm using the original PLA filament from Prusa.  Also the slicer used on the test print files was not the latest generation obviously - not sure if that matters.

Any ideas?

Here is a pre-upgrade print.

Here's the post-upgrade

Cheers!

Steve

RE: Over-Extrusion at Corners?

Hi Steve, I have seen this a lot, reducing the flow rate to 90% normally sorts it...

if slicing for yourself, reducing the extrusion multiplier to 95% normally sorts it...

RE: Over-Extrusion at Corners?

Those little squish marks in the corners are from the wiping feature. As @joantabb notes, any over-extrusion exaggerates the effect. With a bit of tuning of your extrusion multiplier -- you'll want to do this for each filament type you use, you can reduce the effect. You might also try disabling the feature under Printer Settings->Extruder 1->Retraction->Wipe while retracting . If you have calibrated the extrusion multiplier for your filament, there should be little need for the wipe function which is meant to reduce stringing.
