RE: Octoprint website says "Raspberry Pi Zero W is not recommended," but does it work if no webcam is used?
True...it's not necessary if you're only connecting from within your own local network, however...if you want to connect from another location (ie. I frequently log in from a work computer to check in on long prints to monitor progress...stop them if there's problems, etc) then you'll need to do this to assign the port. If your IP changes frequently (mine rarely does) then that's a whole other problem. I use Teamviewer to remotely login to my home PC. If I can't connect outside my network and think my IP may have changed, I just connect to it with Teamviewer, see what the new IP is, then I'm good to go again.

Pi0W works ok for me. I don't do video or time-lapse. I run two different printers each either own pi. I think the warning is due to video bandwidth. I suspect that we could get clarification on it from Gina if needed. (Octoprint maintainer)
