Nozzle rises higher in temperature

Hello, everyone,

I'm exposing my problem, I mounted a Prusa MK3 2 weeks ago without any problems, I printed the entire test coil (gray PLA) without any worries, I then ordered PLA Black at Prusa, since I loaded this PLA I have only worries but I do not think it comes from the reel.

In fact, in full print, the wire is cut in the extruder and when I try to remove it it's all melted in the cooler.

The temperature of the nozzle sometimes does not reach the setpoint temperature of 200 ° while the cooler is boiling (Even teflon melts in).

At rest, the temperature probe of the nozzle indicates the same value as the bed + -3-4 ° which I think is correct. I did a calibration of temperature and that tells me a failure, I do not understand much.

Thank you all for your help.

I wish you a good day.

Re: Nozzle rises higher in temperature

I would say that the thermistor (temperature senzor) is not working properly. Printer thinks the hotend temperature is much lower then it is in reality and everything melts down. I would not try to print anything else until you verify this, otherwise your room might get melted.
Best would be some laser thermometer, set the hotend temp to some 50°C and measure the real temperature.

Maybe before you do this, one advise for beginners. Take a look if the hotend fan is working, it should run automatically when temp goes over 50°C 😉

If you stop printing, leave the printer running, it needs to cool down.
If shutdown to fast, then everything will get to hot, and melt inside, also the printer will melt.

Prusa has a CHAT available in their STORE website.  Log in like you are going to buy something and CHAT is available lower right of the screen.
