New Member - Just assembled, tested, calibrated, and made my first print.
Hi all!
First Prusa (MK3S+) and First Post.
This is my fifth 3D printer and I thought it was time to try a Prusa!
I received the kit in perfect condition from Makerwiz and put my printer together over a period of 3 days and about 12 hours. I didn't rush the assembly, read ahead and checked out the comments when things weren't absolutely clear. This was a great experience and it was a rare joy to have such coherent instructions in printed form and on line.
Kudos to all contributors!
One nut disappeared when I dropped it, but the thoughtfully supplied extra bits of hardware saved the day. Again Prusa, Well done!
This evening I ran the self tests, then calibrated and saved my smooth and textured build platform profiles then printed the "PRUSA" nameplate. Looks Beautiful!
I think I'm at the beginning of a wonderful relationship!

Welcome to the Prusa club.
Makerwiz? I did not know we have a seller in North America.

Yes, Makerwiz.
About Makerwiz | Makerwiz - 3D Printing Shop | Lab | Space
I stumbled on their site when seeking a more regional purchasing solution. I'm not 100% sure of their official reseller status but they do seem legit and very helpful.
My printers test slip date 05 05 2021
Thanks for the welcome!

@grok
Wow - their prices are super high for filament. Cheaper to have it shipped from EU

Their prices are still extremely high even considering the Canada-US currency conversion. With shipping, that would be well over US$50 to the door. With the less expensive brands it would be more than double the typical Amazon to-the-door prices here in the States.
There would also be the usual delay and administrivia dealing with Canada to US shipments.

@jsw
That is what i was thinking. I would like to see one in the US.

Yes their filament is expensive. The printer price was OK and predictable. I've been stung by DHL and UPS with mystery duties and charges with international orders. In my opinion, it makes sense to buy locally/domestically when you can. Not always feasible though.
There are so many good filament choices and sources, way more than when I embarked on my 3D printing journey 12 years ago. Currently I'm having good luck with DuramiC 3D filament products purchased from Amazon.
Cheers!
